Tania went to sleep with any thoughts about dreams as she was not alone. Her Dadi ji slept on the other side of the bed to keep her company.

Meanwhile, Mr Sharma, Tania's Dada ji, could not sleep. He had returned to his room leaving behind his wife so that Tania would not feel alone and drift into another of her past life dreams.

He was in deep thought as he paced the room. Sleep had flown from his eyes. He was worried about his granddaughter.

"Yes, we need to visit a psychiatrist tomorrow," he thought out aloud.

"Tania is having a lot of stress and is frightened after seeing her father of this life being the father of a previous life."

"On top of that her father of the previous life being threatened with death by her paternal uncle of that life who is her maternal uncle in this life."

"Then there is her mother and brother being murdered in the previous life due to an inflicted ailment. If that is so, then maybe the death of her parents in this life were perhaps not by accident. But made to look like an accident."

"It is not right to be suspect someone of being a murderer but one can never tell. Sometimes the innocent looking who, as per our perception have no reason to kill, but as per their own perception, they feel the victim(s) have no right to live."

"A good psychiatrist will be able to pick her mind and find out what is going on in her head. She cannot be making up these stories, that is definite."

"If he cannot find out then we need a hypnotist who can find out what is troubling her. If he is aware and can practice 'Past Life Regression' (PLR), then nothing like it."

"As per our belief in rebirth, some people do remember their previous birth till the age of 5 years. It is as if the curtain has not closed properly. They start to forget after the age of five years is crossed."

"However, there are certain cases when they do start to remember after a certain incident like a trigger point. It can commence after a visit to a place which feels like a place already visited. It is like a déjà vu."

"These things do not matter much as past life comes slowly and does not interfere in the present life."

"However, in Tania's case there is a different angle. She had been seeing a few forts and temples. Her interest in India maybe be due to being half Indian but then these dreams do indicate something."

The inference that can be drawn is as follows:-

Her dreams are warnings about what is likely to happen in the imminent future.

Her dreams are trying to tell her what had happened to her in her previous life.

Her dreams are trying to tell her to uncover a secret like a torture and murder which had taken place but no one got to know about it.

"I will take Tania to the Indian State of Rajasthan and to the ruins of Kalibangan so that she can get the feel of that area where she had lived in her past life."

"We need to move back to India after a visit to the psychiatrist. The sooner we move back the better."

"Igor is not what he seems. He is a smooth talker and that is all. He is full of meanness, ready to harm another to get benefit for himself. Igor is like an elephant who has a different set of teeth to show the world e.g. it tusks, but to eat the elephant uses a hidden set of teeth."

"Before I sleep, I will read up on what is this Past Life Regression. When did it become famous and how are psychiatrists using it to help their patients."

Mr Sharma took out his mobile and started surfing the net.

He started reading a few articles and this is what he found:-

Past life regression is a technique that uses hypnosis to recover memories from the patient's previous lives. According to the therapists who practice past life regression, many a mental health issues that are experienced by the patients could be due to a traumatic experiences of their past lives. Hence, the pract.i.tioners use hypnosis to take the patients back in time also called regression. The regression could be when the patient was about 5 years of age, when the patient was being born with the present body, when the patient was in the womb of his mother or before the patient got the present body when he/she was just a soul or when he/she had a body from a previous life. or lives.

Thus, the pract.i.tioners are of the opinion that various mental disorders can be treated by visiting the events that the patient went through before he or she was born in this life.

Practicing Psychiatrists reject this hypothesis. However, there are some famous pract.i.tioners who believe in it had have included it in their medical practice as a therapeutic technique. The most prominent is the psychiatrist Dr. Brian Weiss. He has written a number of bestsellers on the subject. He recommends hypnosis for patients, in order to overcome their phobia. Dr. Weiss believes that the phobia go back to experiences from previous lives.

By revisiting those experiences through hypnosis, the patient will be able to confronts his/her fears, and ultimately, becomes desensitized to his/her original fears. He had encountered patients that gave details of their past lives, Dr. Weiss's did not believe in reincarnation / rebirth. But he started to believe in reincarnation and the efficacy of past life regressions, not due to some religious beliefs, but because evidence from his medical practice led him to it.

The medical profession does not favor Past Life Regression procedures. However, there is a great demand for from the general population. Many people do believe in reincarnation, and that figure is very high in countries with religions like Buddhism and Hinduism include the concept of karma and reincarnation is important in their belief.

"Hmm, Wish we could meet this Doctor Weiss to do a Past Life Regression for Tania and help her find out her past and how it is linked to her present."

"It will be dawn soon. A little rest before I get up to search for a psychiatrist who does Past Life Regression."

Mr Sharma was now relaxed and as soon as his head touched the pillows, he was fast asleep.
