Translator’s Note: Sorry for the lateness. I haven’t had the time to edit the chapters and probably won’t for a few days so I decided to upload it anyway. Chapters 91, 92 and 93 are available for reading – but are unedited and not translation checked yet – but the meaning shouldn’t change too much after editing. For those who don’t mind, read ahead. Press “Next” for chapters 92 and 93. When the three chapters are fully edited, I will add chapters 92 and 93 to NovelUpdates.

Unedited

Gu Yu Sheng’s voice wasn’t high, however, his tone was sharp and cold, carrying an authority that didn’t allow one to resist, instantly shocking all the people in the room who had no idea what on earth was going on into silence. They all turned their eyes towards Gu Yu Sheng and Lu Ban Cheng.

Gu Yu Sheng, who had become the centre of attention, grew even more annoyed from everyone’s confused gazes.

He raised a hand, wanting to take another puff, but discovered that the cigarette had already burnt down to the tip. As he extinguished the cigarette on the ashtray on the side, he grabbed the cigarette box on the way, and shook it. The box was absolutely empty. Immediately his terrible temper made a turn for the worse. He threw the empty box onto the mahjong table and pushed over the thick pile of chips he had just won, kicked away the chair behind himself, stood up and threw out the words, “Boring. Not playing anymore.” He then grabbed his phone, tidied up his clothes in pa.s.sing, turned and left.

A while after Gu Yu Sheng violently flung open the door and left, the people in the room finally recovered their senses.

“What on earth was that about?”

“Why did Chief Gu get angry for no reason?”

“Chief Gu has been a bit out of the sorts the entire day……”

Out of sorts? Was this truly ‘Out of sorts’? Why did he get the feeling that it wasn’t just today, but rather he seemed to have been acting a bit strangely since last week…… Lu Ban Cheng dazedly stared in the direction Gu Yu Sheng had just left for a while before withdrawing his gaze. Hooking the corners of his mouth up into a smile, he said to everyone, “It’s nothing. It’s nothing. Everyone continue playing. The bill’s on me today.”

……

When Mr Gu walked out of Gold Jade Splendour, his driver Xiao w.a.n.g had already driven the car to the entrance in wait for him.

Once Xiao w.a.n.g saw him, Xiao w.a.n.g immediately exited the car, and met partway him with an open umbrella.

When they were both seated in the car, Xiao w.a.n.g asked, “Mr Gu, where will you be heading?”

Gu Yu Sheng a bit absentmindedly watched the downpour outside the window.

Xiao w.a.n.g waited for a short moment, and seeing that Gu Yu Sheng had no intention of talking, he started the engine, and drove into the rain and wind stricken road.

The rain was coming down hard. Even though the winds.h.i.+eld wipers continuously wiped the windscreen, the view was still somewhat obstructed and the car driven at an especially slow speed.

When they had almost reached the company, Xiao w.a.n.g asked, “Mr Gu, will you be going to the company as usual?

Gu Yu Sheng quietly leaned against the seat of the car. His expression was tranquil and seemed to be thinking about something. After a while, he felt around and opened cigarette box from the car compartment, lit it and took two drags. He then turned his head to look outside at the heavy rain again. A bolt of lightning happened to cut open the night sky at the exact time. Gu Yu Sheng’s brows lightly furrowed and he suddenly said, “Ring home.”

Mr Gu, who has never been willing to go home, seems to be awfully longing for home lately….. Xiao w.a.n.g blanked out for a moment before he fished out his phone, cleared the security screen, and dialled Gu Yu Sheng’s villa’s home-line.

The call was quickly connected, but no one picked up even after countless rings.

Xiao w.a.n.g dialled again with the same result. He turned around. “Mr Gu, no one appears to be at home?”
