"What should I do?" the wife of the patient asked.

"What do you mean?" the patient's mother asked.

"Should I just leave him laying here?" the wife asked.

"Let the doctors treat him first," the patient's mother suggested.

The wife and mother of the patient hadn't reached an agreement in relation to whether the patient should be transferred to a different place. After all, they couldn't trust the rumors. They hadn't met anyone with the same condition being cured, so they didn't want to take the risk. They didn't think any doctors in a small clinic would be better than the doctors in the hospital. Most people would have the same thoughts, which was reasonable.

In most cases, the so-called folk prescriptions that claimed to be able to cure severe illnesses were fraud. Some people's condition got worse because they missed the best time to receive treatment after using folk prescriptions.

However, the family members of the patient were wrong this time. Of course, they didn't know at the moment.

"Is he still here?" Pan Jun came along twice to ask about the patient in one day while the patient was receiving treatment. "How is he?"

"What? Which patient? You know I have a lot of patients lately," the registrar doctor said.

"The one who came yesterday," Pan Jun said.

"He is not well," the registrar doctor said. "It gives me a big headache."

"I've seen his blood report. It was abnormal," Pan Jun said.

"We both know the result is abnormal. His blood contains toxins," the registrar doctor said.

"Exactly," Pan Jun said. "But, you can't find a suitable treatment method, right?"

"No suitable treatment method at the moment. I'll try my best. By the way, why do you so care about this patient? You know him?" The registrar doctor noticed Pan Jun paid extra attention to this patient, so he was very cautious when treating the patient. However, the patient's condition was too bad. He couldn't make him better given his capacity.

"No, I'm just curious about his condition," Pan Jun said.

"That's good," the registrar doctor said.

"What do you mean?" Pan Jun asked.

"Actually, his condition is really bad," the registrar doctor said.

"How bad?" Pan Jun asked.

"Well, it's hard to describe," the registrar doctor said.

"Is his life in danger?" Pan Jun asked.

"At the moment no, but his condition will become life threatening if he doesn't get better," the registrar doctor said.

"Really?" Pan Jun asked.

"His condition is getting worse," the registrar doctor said.

"What are you going to do? Just leave him there?" Pan Jun asked.

"Of course not, I've suggested to his family about transferring him to a different hospital," the registrar doctor said.

"What did his family say?" Pan Jun asked.

"They want him to be here for a bit longer," the registrar doctor said.

"I see, thank you," Pan Jun said.

"You are welcome," the registrar doctor said.

They can't make the patient better here, but the doctors in the hospital in the city can make him better? I really doubt it. Pan Jun wasn't sure what he could do for the patient, but his young teacher might know. I should go to talk to Dr. w.a.n.g tomorrow and learn something new from him when I am there.

Meanwhile, w.a.n.g Yao was seeing his last patient of the day in his clinic. It was nearly noon.

"h.e.l.lo, doctor, you seem to be having a busy day." It was a man in his 40s. He was wearing a pair of frameless gla.s.ses and looked very young.

"It's alright." w.a.n.g Yao glanced at the middle-aged man. "You don't seem to be ill."

"What? Why did you say that? I'm a bit unwell. My blood sugar level has been a big too high recently," the middle-aged man said. "Let me introduce myself. My name is Zhu Yutang. I'm the deputy chief director of Renji Hospital." The middle-aged man took out his name card and handed it to w.a.n.g Yao.

"Renji Hospital?" w.a.n.g Yao asked as he took over the name card.

"Yes, our hospital is a private hospital. Our head office is located in Wei. We have hospitals in Dao and Ji," Zhu Yutang said.

"I see," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"I heard people talk about you a lot, and I witnessed your wonderful medical skills this morning," Zhu Yutang said. "Look, I'm here to invite you to work at our hospital. We want to offer you the registrar doctor position in the department of Chinese Medicine."

"I'm sorry, I'm not interested," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"We can offer you an annual salary of $200,000," Zhu Yutang said.

w.a.n.g Yao didn't respond. He started to pack up.

"We can also offer you to work in our best buildings with modern equipment. You can choose to work in any one of our hospitals," Zhu Yutang said.

"I'm sorry," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"Plus a car that is worth about $200,00. What do you think?" Zhu Yutang asked.

w.a.n.g Yao stopped packing and looked up at Zhu Yutang. "Thirst after talents?"

"We are always happy to invest in really talented people," Zhu Yutang said.

In fact, the reason why Renji Hospital could expand so rapidly was because the hospital had hired a number of talented doctors from other hospitals. The management of Renji Hospital attracted those doctors with a high salary since they knew a doctor with a good reputation would attract a lot of patients. They also knew high salary always worked in attracting good doctors.

"Sorry for wasting your time, but I'm really not interested," w.a.n.g Yao said.

What kind of person would turn down such a good offer?

Zhu Yutang frowned. He thought he couldn't make a better offer than he had. If w.a.n.g Yao hadn't been strongly recommended by a friend and he hadn't witnessed w.a.n.g Yao's fantastic medical skills himself, he wouldn't have offered him such a high salary, which could attract good doctors from 3grade hospitals.

"Tell me what else you want. We can certainly consider it," Zhu Yutang said.

"I like this village, and I don't want to work for anybody. Sorry, I have to go now," w.a.n.g Yao said.

Zhu Yutang had nothing else to offer. He followed w.a.n.g Yao out of the clinic. "What is so good about this village?"

"The air here is fresh, and it is quiet and peaceful. Most importantly, this place is my hometown," w.a.n.g Yao said.

Zhu Yutang looked confused.

"Well, never mind, I don't think you'd understand," w.a.n.g Yao said.

He could only see money and profit in Zhu Yutang's eyes. He didn't think Zhu Yutang could get him.

"If you change your mind in the future, please let me know," Zhu Yutang said as he got into his car and drove off.

"Chief, is everything going alright?" his a.s.sistant in the car asked.

"He's just a stubborn guy. He kept talking about his hometown, fresh air, and peaceful environment. What a stupid guy!" Zhu Yutang laughed coldly.

While he was thinking about what to do next, the car swerved a bit. Two cars pa.s.sed his. Who are those people? Both cars were imported Mercedes S cla.s.s.

"The number plates are from Dao. What are they doing here?" Zhu Yutang asked. "Don't tell me they are here to see him."

"See him? You must be joking!" Zhu Yutang's a.s.sistant said.

"Stop the car," Zhu Yutang said.

Creak! The car stopped.

Zhu Yutang got out of the car. He stood on the verge and looked toward the two S-cla.s.s cars. Both cars stopped in the middle of the village. Several people got out of the cars.

"Who is that? He really looks like someone," Zhu Yutang murmured. Because he was fair a bit distant from both cars, he couldn't identify the person.

"Dad, what brings you here?" Sun Yunsheng asked.

"I'm on my way to do run some errands. I thought I might pay you a visit as I'm pa.s.sing this village," Sun Zhengrong said.

The person Zhu Yutang couldn't identify was Sun Zhengrong.

"h.e.l.lo, Uncle Sun," Zhen Weijun said.

"Weijun, it seems you are recovering well," Sun Zhengrong said.

"Yes, I'm doing really well, thanks to your recommendation. Dr. w.a.n.g is a fantastic doctor," Zhen Weijun said.

"No worries, it's also because you are a fortunate person," Sun Zhengrong replied.

"h.e.l.lo, Director Sun," Zhen s.h.i.+xiong said.

"You don't need to call me director, s.h.i.+xiong," Sun Zhengrong said. "We don't have many opportunities to catch up, so I want to invite all of you for lunch today."

"Thank you. Shall we ask Dr. w.a.n.g to join us?" Zhen s.h.i.+xiong suggested.

"I'll ask Dr. w.a.n.g," Sun Yunsheng said.

w.a.n.g Yao actually had seen their cars and guessed it was Sun Zhengrong who came here.

"h.e.l.lo, Dr. w.a.n.g, sorry to bother you. I'm just wondering if you are available at lunch time." When Sun Yunsheng walked into w.a.n.g Yao's house, Zhang Xiuying had placed all the dishes on the table.

There were four dishes and one soup for three people in w.a.n.g Yao's family.

"What for?" w.a.n.g Yao asked.

"I want to invite you to my house for lunch today," Sun Yunsheng said.

"No, thank you." w.a.n.g Yao declined the invitation without thinking.

His mother had cooked lunch. Therefore, he wouldn't eat elsewhere if not necessary.

"That's fine. Sorry to bother you," Sun Zhengrong said.

"Haha, how about you stay here for lunch?" w.a.n.g Yao suggested.

"No, thank you, my father is here. I have to go home," Sun Yunsheng said.

"I see, say h.e.l.lo to your father for me," w.a.n.g Yao said.

Sun Yunsheng left w.a.n.g Yao's house feeling disappointed.

"Why didn't you accept Mr. Sun's invitation?" Zhang Xiuying asked.

"I don't like eating with those businessmen," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"Fair enough. Let's eat," Zhang Xiuying said.

"Would you like to have a gla.s.s of wine with me?" w.a.n.g Fenghua asked.

"Sure." w.a.n.g Yao went to fetch the wine with a smile. He served his father and himself a gla.s.s of wine.

In Sun Yunsheng's house, a banquet had been prepared.

"Dr. w.a.n.g's mother had already cooked lunch, so he is not going to join us," Sun Yunsheng said.

"That's fine. I'll pay him a visit this afternoon," Sun Zhengrong said.

w.a.n.g Yao chatted with his parents and sat in his room for a short while before heading to his clinic.

"h.e.l.lo, Mr. Sun." He found Sun Zhengrong had been waiting for him outside the clinic.

"h.e.l.lo, Dr. w.a.n.g," Sun Zhengrong said.

"Please come in," w.a.n.g Yao said.

He made Sun Zhengrong a cup of tea after they entered the clinic.

"Have some tea, please," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"Thank you," Sun Zhengrong said. "I hope Yunsheng hasn't caused any trouble here."

"Haha, of course not," w.a.n.g Yao replied.

"I heard from Weijun and Yunsheng that you are interested in establis.h.i.+ng a pharmaceutical company," Sun Zhengrong said.

"Yes, I am interested," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"If you are serious about it, I can probably help you," Sun Zhengrong said.

"Really?" w.a.n.g Yao asked with surprise. What does he mean? He wants to be part of it?

Sun Zhengrong was a businessman with vision. He was very smart. He knew how much profit a pharmaceutical company could make and what an extraordinary doctor w.a.n.g Yao was. Sun Zhengrong had herbs from w.a.n.g Yao and was amazed by the effect. If those herbs could be manufactured in large amounts, the profit would be enormous. In addition, working with w.a.n.g Yao would strengthen his relations.h.i.+p with him and Zheng Weijun's family. One stone was going to hit three birds. Why wouldn't he consider it?

"I haven't decided yet," w.a.n.g Yao said.

"I see. It was just a suggestion," Sun Zhengrong said with a smile.

He didn't stay in the clinic for long because w.a.n.g Yao had patients in the afternoon.

It seems they really want me to run a pharmaceutical company, w.a.n.g Yao thought.

"h.e.l.lo, Dr. w.a.n.g." A female patient came in.

"h.e.l.lo, Ma'am," w.a.n.g Yao said.

He knew this woman, who was in her 60s. She lived in a nearby village.

"Dr. w.a.n.g, I feel much better. No more headaches and dizziness. Can you take a look again? Do I still need to take medication?" the woman asked.

"Let me take a look." w.a.n.g Yao took a good look at her. "Good, you don't need to take any medications, just be aware of your lifestyle."

"Thank you very much," the woman said.

"You are welcome," w.a.n.g Yao said.

Pan Jun came to the clinic when w.a.n.g Yao was seeing the second patient.

"Good afternoon, Dr. w.a.n.g," Pan Jun said.

"Good afternoon, you don't have work today?" w.a.n.g Yao asked.

"No." Pan Jun was going to come in the morning, but he had something else to do instead.
