He was confident about his remark. The Star Formation in Leguo City had been exposed because it was not hidden deep enough. However, the one in Luo Hua City was not the same. One would have to break through a series of array formations before reaching the core. It would certainly require a lot more explosives than what they had just witnessed.
Although the explosion from before was quite ma.s.sive, he a.s.sumed that only half a ton of explosives was used to cause the destruction. The amount was not enough to destroy the wall to the Star Formation. Furthermore, if the place were really destroyed, all the shatters and dust would tumble and bury the Star Formation even deeper. Hence, nothing would be revealed.
Yun Yanli was fairly certain with himself until someone suddenly exclaimed, "Hey, what is that s.h.i.+ny thing?"
Everyone turned and looked at the pointed direction; so did Yun Yanli. His heart sank as soon as he saw what it was. When the dust had settled, bright flashes of light could be seen, which looked like countless twinkling stars.
"It is the Star Formation!"
"That really is the Star Formation!" Some people from Leguo City were able to recognize the pattern.
"Yes, it is the Star Formation! It seems to be consistently buried under the governor's residence!"
"Let us have a look!"
The crowd began to move as they were obviously more interested in the Star Formation than the governor's wedding. They could not care less about the guards and immediately headed towards the governor's residence.
There were more than tens of thousands of spectators but only 3,000 guards. There was nothing these guards could do. The wedding scene was about to get out of control.
Yun Yanli started to panic. He heaved a loud sigh and signaled his men. The young palace master immediately released another display of fireworks in the sky to summon four other troops that came out from nowhere. Immediately, these troops had completely surrounded the square. All the exits had been blocked.
The people were stopped by these black shadows and pushed back into the square. These four troops had a total of at least 10,000 soldiers. All of them were dressed entirely in black. Even their faces were covered in black, so no one knew how they actually looked like. However, their presence was intimidating enough.
These men had surrounded the square securely like a metal wall so that no one could get past them. The men were complete strangers to the citizens of Luo Hua City. They had never encountered the dark troops, so they looked at one another confusedly, unsure of what Yun Yanli was about to do to them.
"Governor Yun, what are you trying to do?"
"Governor Yun, we are good citizens."
All sorts of emotions started to surface in the crowd. Some were confused. Some were offended. Others were still in shock. Some brave ones called out and questioned his authority.
Yun Yanli raised his hand and said, "Arrest them!"
These violent men in black rushed into the crowd and arrested those who made the most noise. The ones who were seized were securely tied and placed next to the stage.
Yun Yanli's relentless arrest managed to scare off the rest of the people. Although they did not agree with his ways, no one dared to say another word to challenge him anymore.
Yun Yanli looked at them icily and said, "These are only some tricks played by the people of the Devil Kingdom to get you confused. You need not care about what happened at the residence. When the ceremony is over, I shall take care of the Devil King's jade statue. By then, all these tricks will no longer happen. Time is ticking. Let us carry on with the ceremony now!"
