She stayed by his side every day and night. She would even place the statue on her bed even when she was having a rest. She even wrapped her arms tightly around his waist whenever she slept. She would always hope for a miracle; she wanted to see his charming smile again. But every morning, she was faced with the same disappointment. The solid, lifeless statue remained just the same.
She was not someone who was terribly keen on talking, but every time she was with the statue, she would blabber on about everything they had been through together. Doctors from the modern world would say that the power of words was able to wake coma patients from their prolonged state of unconsciousness.
Gu Xijiu had been putting this practice into full effect as she talked endlessly with Di Fuyi even though he never responded. The Firmament Stone was awake, but it was unsure of Di Fuyi's condition. It knew that Di Fuyi used to turn himself into a jade statue before as a way to practice his Kung Fu, but the condition only lasted for two days. Unlike now, where it had clearly been more than two days.

Gu Xijiu sat by the lake and looked at the sun for a moment. She then turned her attention to the statue. With a sigh, she took out the remaining Purple Cloud Mushroom pills and observed them carefully on her palm.
The pills were all round and s.h.i.+ny, glistening brightly under the sun. Feeling haunted, her lips tightened into a line as soon as she thought about how Di Fuyi was turned into a statue as a result of the pills. She had never taken them out of her bag until now.
Desperately looking for some explanation, she could not help but pour the pills out of the bottle. "If I consumed all of the pills, would I be turned into the same lifeless statue?" She seemed to be engrossed by the idea.
"Master, please do not do anything silly!" The Firmament Stone could read her mind and knew what she was thinking, so it quickly spoke to her. "If you consume all of the pills, your body will explode, and you will be shattered to the tiniest bits. There will not be a single trace of you left behind."
"Do you think that these pills had somehow expired?" Gu Xijiu asked the Firmament Stone. "Otherwise, why would the pills have such a strong side effect?"
The Firmament Stone denied it. "No, these pills will never expire."
"I shall try one!" Gu Xijiu firmly said.
She was eager to regain the power of a Mighty Immortal. When she was strong enough, Yun Yanli would no longer be a threat to her. She would not have to keep running away from him endlessly, with no place to call home.
The Firmament Stone was not against the idea. "Master, it is fine if you consume one pill. However, you will need to meditate in isolation for three days upon consumption. Should you ask Kun Xueyi to guard the place?"
