Like her, as soon as she was born, this child possessed a magic power and strength far superior to that of the common demons. However, unlike her whom her father trained to become a warrior with a heart of steel, Hera was raised in a soft silk coc.o.o.n. The little girl's character was also very different from her own. Sweet and kind and whose pa.s.sions consisted in bothering others and eating, the little girl never felt the desire to develop her own abilities, however, enormous.
Now sitting in front of this (Lucy) who throws a new sweet bear in her little mouth, visibly unable to close, the young woman smiles and closes her eyes.
Without a sound revealing the change taking place, the young woman's beautiful face undergoes slight modifications and when her eyes open again, two sublime amethysts land on the teenager who swallows a new sugar bear while, with her mouth full, she tells her about her various exploits as an apprentice in the Griven's Adventurers Guild.
[Has she already forgotten her previous question? Doesn't she worry anymore about how she knows her name is Hera?]
The young woman brings her arm close to the girl immersed in her exciting life story and with a huge smile on her face, her index finger taps her shoulder. However, after thirty seconds, she realizes that this gentle method will not work on this completely lunar girl. Unable to bear the teenager's ignorance, the young woman grabs both her shoulders and waves her like a rattle.
"And then Helene says to me... Oh, I'm not a shaker. You're not right in your head to... Aaaaaah, Méria! How awful!"
Méria doesn't get at all upset when she hears those mean words. On the contrary, thinking back to the first words her little cousin said when she was a baby and saw her "Not beautiful.", she laughs when she is able to renew her unique relationship with that awful little girl and, unable to control her heart's impulses, she grabs the teenage girl's head and buries it into her b.r.e.a.s.t.s.
"pfouuu!" Hera tries to escape from the man-trap. She flaps her arms, tries to push the crazy girl's body back, but the girl is too strong. Choking! Her pretty face slowly starts to turn red. Then, seeing no other solution, she opens her mouth and bites one of this huge melons that threaten to take her young life.
"Ouch, that hurts. Stop it, Hera. Stop it, I tell you. Take your teeth from my breast. Hera, she's not a sugar bear, so let go."
…
Méria caresses the long brown hair of her young cousin who has stretched out on her thighs. When the teenager took off her ring, two adorable little horns miraculously appeared in her eyes, but against all her expectations, after a small discussion, when she offered to return immediately to her father's castle, Hera refused.
"Your father has been worried for so long, but you insist on staying here? Why are you so anxious to find this human you call Gina? The life or death of such a weak creature shouldn't matter to a Princess from h.e.l.ls."
Hera looks for a sugar bear in her bag, but smelling only paper on her fingers, she rolls it up into a ball and throws it against the forehead of this girl who doesn't understand friendship.
"Obviously, for a girl who has no heart, leaving Gina here when she may be in great danger is not very important, but for me, who has one and has lived with humans, her life is very precious. Stop touching my horns, it tickles everywhere."
Seeing Hera wiggle, Meria immediately withdraws her hand from the cute little horns, which even if she didn't think about it anymore, are one of the demon's erogenous zones. This child is very stubborn and bringing her back against her will won't do much good because she risks jumping in the first dimensional pa.s.sage that comes along and this time, who knows where her cousin might land?
"It's too bad I don't know this Gina's energy imprint, otherwise I would have been able to locate her more quickly..."
"You can feel me!"
"I'm not a dog and it doesn't work that way! Hera, do you mind if I enter your mind to read your thoughts? If I can see what this human looks like, I can expand my consciousness and find her a little easier."
Very concerned about Gina and realizing that her cousin, usually indifferent to other species than demons, is willing to help her, she wipes her mouth full of sugar on the sheet. More comfortable, her big red eyes full of hope focus on Méria's.
"What do I have to do to get you inside my head? I can't open it, you know?"
The young woman sighs to release the pressure. Talking seriously with Hera is not easy. Is she saying all this nonsense on purpose? She's not sure, but if she wants to take this child back to her father, finding this human is more important than dwelling on it.
"You don't have to do much. Start by relaxing... Well, I forgot that aside from the food, you're not much of a worrywart. When you feel a warm current entering your forehead, don't panic and let it follow its path or else, besides hurting your conscience, I won't be able to read your thoughts and memories. Do you understand, Hera?"
Hera, frown. Sometimes she has the unpleasant feeling that people take her for a simple-minded girl.
"I'm not an idiot, you know. Go ahead! Penetrate in me! I'm ready!"
After hearing these words, who out of their most usual contexts, sound a little uncomfortable to the ear, the Méria's mouth opens wide. "Hera, you're already 12 years old, it's time you thought before you speak where many people might misinterpret your words. Well, I'm going to see what's going on in that little brain of yours that sometimes seems to idle."
...
Méria's confused. She has already penetrated many consciousness and searched the memories of many people and all of them had this in common: As if they were arranged in a logical order in small boxes, the memories were well organized...
... However, that night she drowns in an ocean of chicken wings. In this wacky world where clouds are replaced by sweets, sometimes she is lucky enough to come across a tall brown man who sails on a banana and paddles with celery stalks, or a busty woman spanking a teenager with large wicker baskets for shoes.
She has been swimming in this horrible childlike world for an hour now, and at the end of her strength, Méria panics. She almost drowns and swallows a sip of orange juice, but using what strength she has left, her hand grabs a marshmallow that was drifting over her head. Knowing full well that if she stays in that unhealthy head, she will eventually and fatally injure her conscience, she comes out of Hera's sick brain as fast as she can.
"So, hey, did you find Gina?"
Exhausted after the toughest fight she's ever had, Méria lies down on her back. Panting, her body covered in sweat, in a slightly hoa.r.s.e voice, she tries to answer her little cousin who, not to make up for her already deplorable condition, has just got down on all fours and sat on her stomach.
"No! It would be impossible for me to even know what you did five minutes ago. I've never seen anything like it before. It's unheard of, monstrous, terrifying. It's such a mess in there."
