After the momentary shock, Lei Xinyi grasped the situation. She was more expecting a cold, stoic man who will talk to her with rigidness and shun her gentlemanly.
Then gritting her teeth inwardly, she thought, 'So now that fu*ker after humiliating her for almost two hours wanted to pa.s.s her like a joke.'
Bursting out in a pool of fake tears, She said through her sobs, "No I am not fine. You hurt me. I waited alone in that cold lobby for almost two hours for my own fiancé only to be humiliated. And hear your secretariat gossip about how I was your shunned hook-up."
Li Yuan almost had the urge to smirk at the little fox in his arms and her direct approach and sarcasm, but giving her a concerned look he cupped her face and he said guiltily.
"My dear sweetheart, I swear it slipped out of my mind because of work that it was going to be your first day. You can ask Ji Zhou how I had been over the moon to know about your arrival last week."
He Indicated to the stiff-stunned Ji Zhou, who was shocked by the cunning and treacherous man and crafty and sly woman acting all coy as lovers, knowing how they both were spitting venom for each other behind each other's back but nodded nonetheless.
"Baby girl, I would never hurt you intentionally. If I had known I would come to fetch you myself." then he hugged her tightly to his chest.
Lei Xinyi had the urge to gag at his sweet behavior. He was being too affectionate and she could bet her whole life it was fake.
The man was really something else he was d.a.m.n sharp at altering the situation that she felt like smacking his face. But she who was an expert knew better than to provoke him.
She had witnessed his destructive ways and knew the man wasn't to be trifled with.
No matter what game he plays she has to play along. She already has Yu Youhan on her tails, she couldn't afford him.

While Yu Youhan was upright cold and liked to strike and kill causing ultimate demise without mercy, Li Yuan liked to play with his prey till submission then strike. Destroying man emotionally to never recover.

Clenching her fists, she said, in a sickly sweet voice, "It's Okay I overreacted too. I am sorry."
Li Yuan let out a dramatic sigh, as he led her to the sofa in his office and then said with sham sincerity, in his deep masculine voice "I am really sorry Lu Xinyi. I never thought this will be how my meeting with the woman who haunts my dreams be like. I promise to make it up to you."
